Agave Software Design Challenges Web Developers
Contest Seeks Most Creative Application of Newly Released SQml-Web

DALLAS, TX - October 29, 1997 - Agave Software Design, Inc., a premier provider of web to database access solutions, has announced Access THIS!, a contest challenging Web developers and software engineers to submit their most creative applications of the companyÕs newly released SQmlä-Web 1.0. The grand prize winner, to be announced in January, will receive a free copy of SQml-Web's Enterprise version, an Agave Software Design, Inc. T-shirt and a $200 coupon toward the purchase of any Agave Software Design database connectivity tool. Ownership of the winning application will be retained by the entrant.

SQml-Web 1.0 is an application development tool that allows Web developers to speed the development of complex HTML applications by providing an easy and reliable way to dynamically generate HTML documents on-the-fly from existing SQL databases. SQml-Web 1.0 is an ideal solution for integrating corporate information sources, such as pricing, electronic pricing catalogs, product inventory levels and employee benefit status with Internet or corporate Intranet applications. The Access THIS! contest runs from November 2 through December 31, 1997. To enter, participants can download a free, 60-day evaluation copy of SQml-Web located at http://www.agave.com. Winner selection will be based on creativity and the utilization of as many product features as possible. Entries can be submitted by including a URL hyperlink to the application's location in an e-mail to sqmlwebcontest@agave.com or by e-mailing the application to sqmlwebcontest@agave.com.

Prizes and Recognition
All contest participants will receive a $200 coupon toward the purchase of any Agave Software Design database connectivity tool. In addition to the Grand Prize Winner, one or more Honorable Mention winners will be announced. Honorable Mention winners will receive a developer's copy of SQml-Web 1.0. Winners will be announced January 20, 1998 and posted on the Agave Software Design Web site along with a showcase of all entries.
