Agave Software design Announces New Product, JDBC NetServerTM 1.0 Available Free Evaluation

Dallas, Texas, December 11, 1996 - Agave Software Design, Inc., announced today that it will provide its new JDBC NetServerTM 1.0 free for evaluation. The JDBC NetServerTM 1.0 extends client-server applications by building a bridge across the Internet/Intranet between database servers and Internet/Intranet browser clients. The JDBC NetServerTM 1.0 can be downloaded from AgaveÕs website (http://www.agave.com) at no cost through the beta product evaluation period.

Agave's JDBC NetServerTM 1.0 provides the building blocks necessary for Internet database connectivity. Using JDBC NetServerTM 1.0, sophisticated Java client applets can be downloaded and run on Java-enabled browsers, creating reliable connections between client processes and multiple server databases and tables across the Internet or corporate Intranets.

Glenn Deitiker, President of Agave Software Design, Inc., said today, "A corporation's existing databases and database applications are the backbone of business operation and management, whether the company be large or small. Agave is in the business of providing the tools to make those databases accessible from the Internet/Intranet browser - the most effective and widely used data sharing technology available".

By year end, Agave will introduce beta versions of two other significant products related to database publishing and database-to-Internet/Intranet access, Agave Forms and SQml-CGI.

Agave Forms, built in Java, runs existing and new Oracle Forms applications as Java applets that run over the Internet or corporate Intranets. Agave Forms runs Oracle Forms applications without requiring modification or additional coding of the original Oracle Forms application providing significant cost savings while extending applications to perform at a higher level.

SQml-CGI, provides access to SQL databases from HTML documents. SQL queries are embedded in HTML documents using SQml technology, processed by SQml-CGI and expanded into HTML documents (including the SQL data requested, text, Hyperlinks and graphics). SQml-CGI is the easiest method available to access database information and create dynamic web pages.
